Nissen BBI 516 - Pritzel 2345 - First English edition in translation after the French version of this work. Dodoens was a botanist and personal physician to Emperor Maximilian I, he published this herbal in 1554 in Old Flemish, later it was translated into French, English and Latin. - Somewhat browned, the first few pages with small, partly backed marginal defects, some dampstains and fingerstains in the margins. A good copy.
