Partly with trimmed watermark J. Whatman 1794 - Splendid and colourful collection of finely drawn depictions of plants. The work "Plantarum indigenarum et exoticarum icones ad vivum coloratae, oder, Sammlung nach der Natur gemalter Abbildungen inn- und ausländlischer Pflanzen", published in Vienna and Leipzig between 1786 and 1792, served as a model. As in the bimonthly plant journal, these sheets have handwritten titles in German and Latin. Contains illustrations of native and exotic plants as well as some drawings of fungi. - Paper somewhat browned and very occasionally inconspicuously stained. Overall a very well-preserved and varied collection.
