THE MASTERY OF A WORKSHOP AT THE SERVICE OF A GREAT HOUSE The hallmark of the Jean Bondt workshop is clearly visible on the brooch we are also presenting in this sale. There can be no doubt that this magnificent flower-branch necklace came from the skilful hands of this workshop, which remained discreet but was highly recognised by many jewellers in the Place Vendôme. The post-war period lent itself to many stylistic exercises, from 'modern' jewellery to jewellery inspired by nature. As we examine the necklace, the details appear in turn, from the goldwork in imitation of wood to the modelling and surface work on the flowers. A diamond, platinum and 18K yellow gold flower necklace by Boucheron, circa 1950-1960. Signed Boucheron Paris and numbered. French assay mark. Gross weight : 84,44 gr. Length : 41 cm. Boucheron gray suede original box. Reference : Jean Néret, Boucheron, Editions Pont-Royal, 1988.
