This is the reprint (of 1705) by Pierre François Doublet in the in-4 format of the original edition of 1558; this counterfeit having itself become very rare, a second was made in 1745. It is illustrated with 2 woodcut portraits. The family of Ch. De Bourgueville, for reasons that are difficult to understand today, had a large number of copies of his work destroyed after his death, so that in a few years it became extremely rare (Frère I, 140-141).
