This copy comes from the first of the two editions published in that year. The illustrations consist of a fold-out map of the Alps and 13 out-of-text etched views by Moitte based on the author's drawings. These show various glaciers, the Valais and the Rhône, the Devil's Bridge, the Grindelwald glacier, Lake Chède and Mont-Blanc, and the Chamonix valley. From the De Vroe library, with bookplate.
