It is illustrated with a fold-out map of the Alps, 13 out-of-text etched views by Moitte based on the author's drawings, 3 vignettes and 25 culs-de-lampe. The plates depict various glaciers, a view of the Valais and the Rhône, the Devil's Bridge, the Grindelwald glacier, Lake Chède and Mont Blanc, and the Chamonix valley.
A very fine copy in elegant, fresh contemporary bindings.
Stamped with the initials WGK surrounded by the motto Lire et méditer (Read and meditate) on the false titles.
