Married to the goldsmith Bacchelli, she soon became his valuable collaborator, designing jewellery for him and other prestigious clients, including Van Cleef & Arpels and Buccellati. She was the first woman to obtain a driving licence in Italy. She was a pioneer among businesswomen. She was a fantastic silverpoint illustrator, all her drawings were done by herself and her inspiration always came from nature. She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. The pieces were sold under the name Orisa. The American magnates Vanderbilt were customers. The House of Savoy was also a client and even asked her to look after its art collection when it took refuge in the Italian Alps during the war. She turned down a commission from Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton in the 1960s because she disapproved of their extramarital affair (she was a devout Catholic and had always dressed in black since the death of her husband in the 1930s).
