Following the last manual Daytonas produced references 6263 and 6265, 1988 saw the launch of a new model the brand new automatic Cosmograph Daytona reference 16520. The L series such as this example was produced the second year of production (1989) and has a distinctive dial, featuring the floating Cosmograph which was only produced for 2 years and remain among the most collectible of the automatic series Superbe chronographe bracelet en acier étanche a 100 m. Suite à la fin de la production des Daytonas manuelles référence 6263 et 6265, 1988 marque un tournant pour la marque avec le lancement de la nouvelle Daytona référence 16520, équipée du nouveau calibre automatique 4030. La série L, comm ce modèle fut produite en 1989 et est caractérisée par le mot Cosmograph sur le cadran détaché du reste du texte, connue par les collectionneurs sous le nom de « floating Cosmograph ». Produite pendant seulement 2 ans, cette configuration reste l’un des modèles les plus désirables de la série des Daytonas automatiques.
