Dim. 29 x 36,5 mm Poids brut. 74,3 g Le modèle dit « Reine de Naples » fait écho à la fameuse montre bracelet délivrée en 1812 par Abraham-Louis Breguet à Caroline Murat. Parmi les admiratrices de Breguet à l’époque figure la Princesse Caroline Murat, devenue Reine de Naples sous l’Empire, il y a plus de deux cents ans, elle se fera livrée une pièce inédite, reconnue comme la première montre bracelet de l’histoire. A l’époque, la Maison Breguet demande 5000 Francs pour la réalisation du garde-temps. Dans les archives elle est décrite sous le nom « répétition de forme oblongue pour bracelet ». Il faudra alors plus de deux ans pour achever ce chef d’œuvre d’horlogerie qui reste comme une œuvre avant-garde. Elle est achevée le 21 décembre 1812. Au travers de la version contemporaine que l’on présente, la maison Breguet rend un vibrant hommage à ce moment historique dans l’histoire de l’horlogerie. Back then, the watchmaker requested 5.000 francs for the timekeeper. In the archives, it appears as an 'oblong repetition for a bracelet'. Over two years were required to finish this avant-gardist masterpiece. It was completed on dec. 21, 1812. Through the contemporary version we are presenting, Breguet honors this landmark of watchmaking history.
