First edition in the vernacular of this chronicle originally written in Latin by Elia Capriolo and first published in 1505. This Italian version, translated by Patrizio Spini, includes an extension of the text covering the history of the city of Brescia up to 1585.
4to (218 x 160mm). Printer's device to title-page, woodcut initials (browning, light but widespread marginal dampstains, the outer margin of the first four leaves reinforced at an early date). Bound in contemporary vellum, gilt title-piece to spine. Provenance: Giulio de Priva (early ownership inscription on title-page)
