Flint-strike lighter with tinder compartment
Made of iron, copper and brass. Rectangular in shape, the case opens via a hinge and the lid is decorated, using marquetry of various metals, with a vase of flowers resting on a console. In a scroll above the design, an inscription is partially legible: ‘SC…ENAU’ for ‘Schœnau’. A floral motif adorns the other side. Opens with a metal latch.
