The flower has been a theme in jewellery since antiquity: from the Egyptian lotus flower, to Chanel's reference to perfume No. 5, to the Art Nouveau sprigs of lily of the valley, the flower is always present. The model we have here is stylistically close to that of Van Cleef & Arpels and in general to the very large luxury brooches of the 1950s to 1970s. The fact that all the parts stand out shows a very meticulous, even millimetric, assembly, the result of great jewellery mastery.
