Round brooch mounted in 14 carat (585/1000ths) yellow gold, niello-coated silver and emeralds, the centre is adorned with a medallion presenting the celestial manna in niello-coated silver, the gold crown is set with 8 cushion-cut emeralds, the back is adorned with an eight-pointed star in gold, gross weight: 24.30 g, D: 55mm. Brooch pin in 18 carat (750/1000ths) yellow gold. French or Russian work of the late 19th century incorporating a medallion probably from an 18th-century ciborium, as it is illustrated with a prefiguration of the Eucharist from the Old Testament.
