Brooch by Anton Frühauf, Merano from the 1970s Yellow gold, partly enamelled in colour, marked 750. Sculpturally designed in the shape of a stylised blossom tree with a pair of birds. Maker's mark. Weight approx. 38.78 g. The goldsmith and freelance artist Frühauf came from a family of goldsmiths in Merano and studied at the State School of Applied Arts in Munich and learnt under Carl Weishaupt at the gold and silversmith's workshop there.
