First edition of the first French book devoted entirely to farmyard birds: hens, chickens, capons, hens, guinea fowl, farmed pheasants, bustards, geese, ducks, swans, pigeons, etc. The food uses of poultry are always recorded: meat quality, eggs, confit, etc. From the Édouard Nignon library, with bookplate. A great chef and food writer, Nignon (1865-1934) was head of the Larue restaurant.
