* BUREAU PLAT, Régence, from a Paris master workshop, in the style of N. GERARD (Noel Gérard, before 1690-1736), circa 1720/30. Ebonized pearwood exceptionally finely inlaid with brass fillets, the top lined with light brown leather and edged in bronze, with a broad central drawer at the front flanked by one drawer each side and with the same but sham arrangement verso. Decorated with exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. 158x75x82 cm. Provenance: from a highly important European private collection.
