It is decorated with lettering, vignettes, endpapers and 10 plates out of text, all wood-engraved from the author's drawings and coloured in a wide variety of tones.
This is the first work by Marguerite Burnat-Provins (1872-1952), a French writer who divided her time between poetry and painting.
Edition of 562 copies, this one of 550 on grey Montgolfier.
