Byrrh is a French brand of cinchona created in Thuir, Pyrénées-Orientales, in 1866 by the brothers Pallade and Simon Violet, the Byrrh brand having been registered in 1873. In 1960, the brand became the property of the Dubonnet-Cinzano company. In 1977, the family business, divided by dissension, was bought by the Cusenier company.
