BYZANTINE BRONZE INCENSE BURNER WITH CHRIST AND CROSSES Ca. AD 1000 - 1200. A cast bronze incense burner with a thickened rim and a short ring foot, the exterior decorated with three medallions depicting Christ shown frontally with a halo, alternating with three crosses. These elements are evenly spaced around the body and framed by borders of concentric circles with central dots. For similar see: The Harvard Museum, Object Number 1975.41.140.
