BYZANTINE BRONZE PROCESSIONAL CROSS DEPICTING HALOED SAINT WITH INSCRIPTION.
Ca. AD 500 - 600.
A bronze processional cross, cast in one piece with flaring arms ending in rounded bud-shaped terminals. At the centre stands a finely engraved saint figure in liturgical robes, flanked by incised border lines and zigzag ornaments. Across the upper arm runs a Greek inscription.
