BYZANTINE GLASS FLASK.
Ca. AD 500 - 600
A pale green translucent glass flask of squat globular form, free-blown with a concave base bearing a pontil mark. Six applied handles are evenly spaced around the shoulder and drawn up in vertical loops to join the wide mouth with a rounded rim.
Size: 70mm x 70mm; Weight: 90g.
Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired from a Belgian collection (1980s-1990s).
