BYZANTINE GLASS JUG. Ca. AD 500 - 700 A free-blown glass jug of globular form on a concave base with a pontil mark. The body rises into a slender cylindrical neck terminating in a folded rim, the applied strap handle drawn up from the shoulder and continued around the neck in three horizontal coils.
