BYZANTINE GOLD BRACELET WITH DOME-SHAPED BEZEL.
Ca. AD 1100.
A solid gold bracelet with a densely braided wire band forming a continuous loop. At the centre, a dome-shaped bezel is embellished with clusters of granules arranged in a floral pattern, with a small knop at the apex. The bezel is flanked by tapering plaques decorated with additional granulation.
