BYZANTINE GOLD PENDANT WITH AN AQUAMARINE ENGRAVED WITH A CROSS AND WREATH.

A gold pendant set with a drop-shaped aquamarine bead drilled longitudinally and held between small gold caps, surmounted by a looped suspension ring of round-section wire. The stone is engraved on one face with a Latin cross within a wreath.
Size: 24mm x 12mm; Weight: 2.5g.
Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Belgium; formerly in a German private collection before 2000.
