BYZANTINE LEAD BULLA WITH VIRGIN MARY AND CHILD. Ca. AD 600 - 800. A lead bulla with the frontal bust of the Mother of God, wearing a chiton and maphorion, holding before her the Christ Child. Sigla to left and right: 'MP OV'. Encircled by a legend within a double beaded border. The reverse bears a five-line inscription framed by a raised border.
