BYZANTINE SILVER RING WITH GARNET CABOCHON
Ca. AD 1200 - 1400.
A silver ring with a rounded hoop that widens gently to support a tall, conical bezel set with a deep red garnet cabochon, enclosed within a raised silver border. Both shoulders are engraved with geometric and star-like motifs.
