CABINET, ANTWERP, 17th CENTURY in blackened wood, rosewood, tortoiseshell, bone, rosewood and walnut veneer; decorated with marquetry; on the front, fillets of reserves and fillets of reserves with a checkerboard pattern, in guilloché frames; and on the sides, a geometric pattern. It opens with ten drawers, two leaves revealing a theatre, a shelf and two secret drawers. It stands on a later period blackened wood and tortoiseshell veneer base decorated with geometric motifs, some in chequered bone fillets. The belt has a double guilloche frame with a slightly recessed apron in the centre ending in a spinning top. The turned wood uprights end in rectangular parallelepipeds painted in the imitation of tortoiseshell, joined by a spacer belt.
