A diminutive cabinet with projecting jambs in blackened moulded wood and ebony veneer inlaid with ivory and engraved bone, decorated with foliage and animals. The four panels are engraved with hunting scenes after Johannes Stradanus. The lower part opens into four leaves surmounted by four drawers, and the upper part into two leaves and two drawers (missing decoration, cracks in the veneer and restorations). It is topped by a broken pediment with double brackets (missing) topped by a spinning top. Attributed to Ferdinando POGLIANI. Milanese work from the second half of the 19th century. His work is renowned for the quality of the engraving on its panels. He took part in the Universal Exhibitions from 1871 to 1898, and his clientele included the Emperor Napoleon III.
