Openwork, engraved and gilded metal picture frame, opening with two leaves revealing four glazed spaces, the legs formed of openwork flowers and the pediment decorated with a butterfly resting on lily of the valley. The leaves are adorned with two micro-mosaic plaques representing in two medallions, on one side a view of Saint Peter's Square in Rome, and on the other a view of the ancient ruins of the Roman Forum, including the Arch of Septine Severus.
