A very interesting manuscript catalogue of the engraved works of Jacques Callot (1592-1635), opening with a life of the famous engraver from Nancy. The writer uses the Catalogue raisonné des diverses curiosités du cabinet de feu M. Quentin de Lorangère as a basis for the works he describes. The volume is illustrated with an engraved portrait on the frontispiece and two original drawings in the text: Callot's coat of arms on the title and his portrait in a medallion at the beginning of the text. This manuscript was drawn up for François Michel de Léon (1727-1800), with his coat of arms at the end and his engraved bookplate.
