Camaïeu de rose, France, circa 1760. Folded fan, the double sheet of paper painted with gouache in rose monochrome of a gallant scene in a country setting. The reverse is painted with a sketch. Mounted in pierced ivory, engraved and painted in pink. Bracket. (Damage and missing parts). Height 26.5 cm; Weight: 37.57 g. In a box covered with black shagreen paper. * INCLUDED is a folded fan, the double leaf made of engraved paper painted with gouache of a gallant scene with birds. Ivory mount (elephantidae spp.*), the wooden plumes, the sticks covered with an engraved plate of a Chinese pagoda, surmounted by a crescent moon and a butterfly. (Damage and missing parts). Height 26.9 cm; Weight: 33 g. *An ivory specimen of Elephantidae spp (I/A) pre-Convention, prior to 1 July 1947 and therefore in conformity with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, and prior to 1 July 1975 and therefore in conformity with the French decrees of 4 May 2017 and January 2022.
