This is the second highest grade! From the J. Lecompte collection, this is the specimen that illustrates his 2013 edition p.36: noted in silvered copper, but our specimen shows a different spectrometer analysis: 65% tin, 14% lead, 9% silver and 7% copper.

Special strike (SP). With tight signature (5.5 millimetres). Smooth edge and struck on a silvered tin blank, the surfaces with minimal bubbles forming. With an old grey patina, slightly iridescent. Superb at Fleur de coin.
By the French sculptor Marie-Anne Eugénie Faconnet, a pupil of J. Lequien and exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1870.
