Bronze subject with black patina, representing the Buddha adorned in the 12th century Khmer style of Angkor, seated in meditation on the Nâga Mucilinda, hands joined in dhyana-mudra, holding the Cintamani jewel. The deity is haloed by the seven heads of the cobra that rise above him, forming a bonnet to protect him from the elements during his meditation.
