CANOSAN GEOMETRIC BICHROME PYXIS Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A painted pottery pyxis with a domed lid featuring a central mask modelled in relief, surrounded by bands and a painted wave motif. The cylindrical body of the vessel is painted red with additional bands. The legs are formed by four doves. For similar see: The J.
