Closes with 6 grey infantry buttons, all present. 2 breast pockets, modified 1915 by adding 2 front pockets, the flaps are a darker horizon blue, and an inside pocket on each side. Full-length bonnet with bottom buttonholes present. Traces of triangular collar tabs. At the bottom of the sleeves, traces of a straight braid, and the belt tab has been removed, indicating possible use by an officer. Unbleached lining with manufacture and receipt stamps, both dated 1915. Worn effect, patina, sunstain, wear from use. Two chest pockets, 1915 modification adds two lower front pockets with darker horizon-blue flaps and one inner pocket on each side. Full-length coat with lower buttonholes intact. Traces of triangular collar patches and straight cuff braid, belt loop removed, suggesting officer use. Unbleached lining with manufacture and acceptance stamps, both dated 1915. Worn, sun-faded, patinated, and showing service wear.
