First delivered in 1978, this limited series of 250 rifles reserved for the European market is based on the 19th-century "One of one thousand" concept of a few dozen examples of the 1873 and 1876 models produced by Winchester. The 1895 rifles are produced in the USA but engraved in Italy by the master workshop of Cesare GIOVANELLI (1939-2025). Each rifle takes around 70 hours to engrave and uses 8 grams of fine gold. Each rifle is individually engraved and numbered. Our example is numbered "001/250", the first of the 2nd series of this collection launched in 1986, of which only 64 were produced, increasing its collector's value. Expert: Laurent Mirouze CNES
