A violin-shaped wall lamp and its lamp base in brown tortoiseshell and brass marquetry. The circular multi-piece dial has twelve white enamelled plates with blue Roman numerals. The movement signed in cursive letters "De Lorme A Paris" and housed in a glass case. Richly decorated with ormolu ornamentation, including a fame motif, falls with fauna heads and floral foliage, and an allegory of music. The cambered legs rest on lamp bases decorated with caryatid heads. Mechanical movement with key winding. Two winding holes. With key. Louis XV period, 18th century, period movement. Restorations on the case. The horn of fame is missing. Cartel height : 100 cm Height of lamp base: 40 cm Wear and tear, to be restored, missing balance wheel, damaged and missing marquetry fillets, woodworm holes.
