A second paper map, also badly damaged with many missing pieces and folds, corresponds to the Second Edition of November 1944. It contains numerous annotations in felt pen indicating the positions of Patton's troops and armament in Saarland before moving on to Bastogne. It is referenced Bligskastel Sheet 6709 Restricted. some wear and patina to parts. condition II+. According to the seller's information, these maps were found in ruins around Warnach. On 23 December 1944, American forces approached Warnach, triggering intense fighting. The American Task Force, supported by the artillery of the 66th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, launched an attack on the village. However, fierce German resistance, particularly from the Sturmgeschutz assault guns, inflicted heavy casualties on the attackers. The initial attack was a failure, with the Task Force blocked in front of Warnach.
