CARTIER, Paris 1907 Very rare urn-shaped perfume burner in silver (800‰) and vermeil, translucent green enamel on a guilloché ground decorated with garlands of flowers painted in fine gold, three friezes separate the decoration, one enamelled white and green the others in chased silver decorated with foliage The base and lid are in carved grey agate, the grip is adorned with a sugar loaf cabochon amethyst in a foliate setting. The interior, with its guilloché and gilded base, reveals a glass vial containing the cotton wick.
