Carved, gilded, and polychromed wooden altar front. Colonial School. Peru. 17th century. 102.5 x 188 cm. In the centre, there is a coat of arms, flanked by two fantastical figures, resembling a mix between an angel and a mermaid. The entire surface is adorned with baroque-style carved elements of leaves and flowers.
