[CELINE (Louis Ferdinand). Set of 22 volumes of the Revue des deux mondes that belonged to Lucette and Louis Ferdinand Destouches. Twenty two volumes. In 4 half calf. Years 1905 (T. II, V, VI) 1906 (T. II, III, IV) 1907 (T. II and III) 1909 (T.VI) 1910 (T. I) 1911 (T. I, II, III, IV, V, VI,) 1912 (T. IX, X, XI) 1913 (T. VI) 1921 (T. IV, V). Handwritten inscriptions on the flyleaves of 5 volumes: Dr. Destouches in ink in T. V of the year 1921. Lucette Destouches 20 Ved Stranden Copenhagen in pencil on volumes 1905 (T. II, V, VI) and 1909 (T. VI). This is the address of the flat provided by a friend, Karen Marie Jensen. The couple arrived on 27/03/1945 and lived there until 17/12/1945, when Celine was arrested by the Danish police after the intervention of the French authorities. After his release in June 1947, he was not allowed to leave the country and was lodged by his lawyer Thorvald Mikkelsen in Klarskovgaard on the shores of the Baltic Sea.
