CELT - IBERIAN BATTLE DAGGER WITH SCABBARD Ca. 600 - 200 BC. A rare forged iron battle dagger with a scabbard adorned with decorative bronze bands. The guard has two preserved wooden panels, each terminating in a projecting, elongated rhomb-shaped pommel. The handle area may have once been wrapped in leather to make it easier to grip. The blade itself is flat and possibly made to be sharpened only on one side based on its shape. For similar see: The British Museum, Museum number ML.1595.
