Tables with differently designed legs and the striking arcade motif as a central support are particularly common in Tuscan furniture. One example is a table from the Palazzo Torregiani, which dates from around 1540 (see Wilhelm von Bode: Italian Renaissance Furniture. New York 1921, p. XXV, No. 54), another example is a table from the Bardini Collection in Florence (cf. Frida Schottmüller: Wohnungskultur und Möbel der italienischen Renaissance. Stuttgart 1921, p. 143, No. 3129). A table similar in design can be found in the Musée des Beaux Arts de Lyon (inv. no. L 1258).
