CENTRAL ASIAN BRONZE RHYTON WITH STAG PROTOME Ca. 500 - 400 BC An elegant Central Asian bronze rhyton, created using the lost-wax casting method. The rhyton features a stag protome at the narrow end and a conical body elaborately decorated with bands of horizontally set lines. The stag’s head is stylised, with upcurved horns, almond-shaped eyes and a delineated snout. A small pedestal is present at the base of the vessel.
