CERVANTES, Miguel de. - The Ingenious Knight Don Quixote de la Mancha. [Nouvelle traduction...par M. de L'Aulnaye].- A Paris, chez Th. Desoer, 1821.4 volumes small in-12; long-grained red morocco, smooth spines decorated with gilt fillets, quadruple gilt fillets on the covers, gilt fillets on the edges, triple gilt fillets inside, gilt edges (Bauzonnet).
Edition illustrated with 4 title vignettes and 8 plates after Devéria, engraved by Vallot, Simonet jeune, Ruhierre, 4 of which are placed in the frontispiece.
"This translation is one of the most faithful we have to date". (Brunet, I, 1752).
A fine copy in contemporary morocco signed Bauzonnet, without the folding map.
