Long cashmere shawl, c. 1820–1830, plain cream ground with four ‘mille-fleurs’ palmette motifs in the spandrels, wide borders decorated with a row of palm fronds adorned with cypresses and floral arabesques. Woven from wool and silk using the cut-warp technique (small stains on the ground), 295 × 138 cm.
