CHARLES ÉDOUARD JEANNERET KNOWN AS LE CORBUSIER (1887-1965) & CHARLOTTE PERRIAND (1903-1999) & PIERRE JEANNERET (1896-1967) Chaise longue, "LC4" model created in 1928 Chromed tubular metal structure stretched with bungee cords, covered with piped foal skin fixed to a canvas and a black leather headrest, the whole sliding on a black lacquered metal structure with a four-legged base held by an H-shaped strut, rubber shoes. Incised signature "Le Corbusier LC4", numbered 9811. H. 72.5 cm, W . 54 cm, D . 163 cm H. 28 9/16 in, W. 21 1/4 in, D. 64 3/16 in. (One strap damaged, oxidation pitting, scratches from use, wear to the skin) A "LC4" lounge chair, model designed in 1928, chromed tubular metal frame stretched with bungee cords, covered with foal skin, sliding on a black lacquered metal frame, rubber feet.
