In 1881, the brothers Charles (1852-1937), Auguste (1862-1930) and Georges (1864-1939) succeeded their father Florentin Charnaux (1819-1883) in the photography studio on Place Bel-Air in Geneva. They were among the pioneers of mountain photography.
