Very rare reunion of the two parts first published separately, the first in 1785, the sequel in 1787, of Isabelle de Charrière's famous novel of manners. A Swiss woman of letters of Dutch origin who wrote in French, Isabelle de Charrière held a salon in Neuchâtel.
