Chasuble and purse, circa 1840-1850,
Crimson silk-fashioned pekin, the edges and orphreys highlighted with gilded braid. The centre of the cross is embroidered in guipure with the Sacred Heart and Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary surrounded by crowns of thorns in silver cannetille, (a discreet crack in the front, some sequins missing). We enclose: a second chasuble in poor condition with the same cross centre, showing only a little wear.
